MAIN TEAM UPDATE
MAIN TEAM UPDATE
Godsent aims to be a world-class organization that can challenge the absolute top of the world in our game and one day be able to win it all. Following the sale of our Brazilian division to 00Nation in 2022 we restructured our operation based on the vision to make Swedish Counter-strike great again. In January 2023 we signed a Swedish roster with that ambition.
MAIN TEAM STRUGGLES
Following the CPH Major Qualifiers, our headliner sponsor for the Main Team elected to cancel their sponsorship of the team with immediate effect which created a significant deficit in our budget. This decision was not directly related to the team's recent performance, but an internal economic decision.
We have been working hard to find a new headliner quickly but have yet to be successful in our attempts. For primarily this reason, we have now decided to part ways with the team and are working with them to find them a new home. This recent development has put a lot of pressure on the players which has been reflected in their performance in recent competition.
To make sure that all of the players of the main team will reach the potential they deserve and continue to compete at a high level, we will negotiate a quick release from their obligations and they are free to seek other opportunities, both as a team or individually. We are collaborating to find a solution quickly that works out well for all parties.
THE FUTURE OF GODSENT IS STILL SWEDISH
Following this transition, Godsent will build a new main team under new leadership and we will be putting in place a new long-term plan for the division which is anchored in the culture and competitive vision of our organization. This team will be a roster that will operate from our headquarters in the south of Sweden featuring talent from our region. We look forward to setting this vision into action.
MORE TBA AND THANK YOU
We want to thank the players for their time in our holy organization and will give further updates in a short time.
