Graham Pitt to take interim coaching role in GODSENT

In the efforts to optimize preparation for the Major Offline Qualifier later this month, GODSENT will upgrade the coaching team to include for an interim period Graham Pitt, currently Head of esports in RFRSH Entertainment.

The ultimate goal is to qualify for the PGL Major in Krakow, and assisted by the present coach, Alexander “rdl” Redl, Graham Pitt will take on the role as interim head coach.

Nikolaj Nyholm, CEO of RFRSH Entertainment:

– Our role at RFRSH will always be to provide the best possible sporting set-up for the teams, and over the past months, via our ongoing dialogue with rdl and pronax on the team’s performance and needs, it has become clear that we could help the team by providing a deeper analytic insight.

– We have 5 extremely talented and skilled players with the potential to compete in top 10, and rdl has done a good job with the resources he has been provided. The results have not been satisfactory, however, and we need to take the team a step up and bring in more analytical knowledge. Therefore and I am glad that Graham Pitt has agreed to take on the role as interim head coach and work with rdl, who will continue working with the team in an assisting/managerial role.

– Graham will dedicate his full time to GODSENT, and will be released from all his responsibilities in RFRSH for as long as he is involved directly with GODSENT.

Graham Pitt is looking forward to his new role:

– With a background in statistics, analytics and sports coaching it was a natural progression to apply this to Counter-Strike. With GODSENT I think everyone can see the potential they have and I am really looking forward to working with rdl and the guys these next few weeks.

– The one and only ambition right now is to qualify for and perform well at the Major. It will take maximum effort from all involved to get there but I am sure we can rise to the occasion.

Alexander “rdl” Redl:

– For me it’s all about the team it’s also my conclusion, it would be a great advantage for the team to bring in more analytical resources. I know Graham well, and I am very positive about the set-up. I will help Graham out all ways possible, and I am confident that we will see a very strong and well prepared GODSENT team for the coming tournaments.

Also Markus “pronax” Wallsten, founder, co-owner and in-game leader is positive about the set-up:

– We haven’t met our own expectations, and it has been obvious we needed a deeper analytical insight, which I think all will agree Graham Pitt brings. It’s a strong move to bring Graham in at this time, and I look forward to working with him. The competition is fierce, and it will require for all to step up, but I am confident, we can move this team to the next level and become a strong contender again. Not only short term.

Graham Pitt will be acting as interim Head Coach until further.
