With immediate effect, Niko “naSu” Kovanen joins GODSENT as the team’s new head coach while intermediate coach, Graham Pitt, returns to RFRSH Entertainment to work on BLAST Pro Series.
Niko, who will today start working with the team, is thrilled about the new challenge, heading one of Swedens most renowned CS:GO teams:
– First of all, I’d like thank Miikka “suNny” who was the one who contacted me when i joined PENTA. We ended up qualifying to the Krakow Major via the hard route, starting from the open qualifiers online and completing the cinderella story in Bucharest. Losing suNny was a huge blow, and losing HS right after left us in a really bad situation, but nevertheless, we had really successful and busy few months together and i’d like to thank each and every one for the good times we had. Huge thanks to everyone at PENTA aswell, particularly Felix who was always there for us.
– Right now I’m extremely happy and motivated to start working with GODSENT. It’s a team with an incredible potential and firepower in the lineup, and after having talked with Kasper Hvidt, Sports Director of RFRSH, I’m happy to say we share the same vision for the team and in regards to coaching in general, and I feel really good knowing i’ve got the full support of RFRSH behind me.
– I’m looking forward to working with the guys. We’ve got busy weeks and tons of work ahead us, but with the potential and the talent on the team, I am convinced we will get on the right path. We want to build up a solid and steady performance pattern and improve as individuals and as a team, and that work starts today.
Graham “messioso” Pitt, who has acted as GODSENT’s interim coach over the summer, will return to a position with RFRSH Entertainment, where he will be involved with organizing BLAST Pro Series, World premiering in Copenhagen’s Royal Arena on 25th November.
